News: Consumer Electronics Show ditches CNET after CBS scandal

From the article: The once beloved and suddenly beleaguered tech-review site CNET will no longer select the official Best in Show awards at the Consumer Electronics Show because of its ethically questionable situation with parent company CBS, which censored CNET's top award at CES and subsequently invented a conflict-of-interest policy based solely on the interests of CBS.

News: Retailers start passing credit card surcharge to consumers

Not sure why I care so much about the credit card process. But, I do.

Credit card retailers charge merchants a percentage of the transaction (plus a flat cent fee). Starting today, merchants can now pass this percentage fee on to the customers who use credit cards.

This is rather unfortunate, though somewhat inevitable. Maybe this will discourage some people from using credit cards and get them back to debt-free cash? Which is bad for me, since I would REALLY like to get to the cashless system.

When will the government start its own credit card processor, one that's fee-less? You decide to regulate everything else based on the commerce clause...how about you regulate ACTUAL commerce?
